Alexander G. Calfo is a first chair trial lawyer with outstanding verdicts against some of the best trial lawyers in the country. Mr. Calfo's verdicts have been featured on the front page of The Los Angeles Times, The National Law Journal, Product Liability Law 360, and media outlets throughout the United States. His expertise is the culmination of years exclusively devoted to the defense and trials of complex business, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, as well as product liability cases in the automotive, heavy machinery, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Mr. Calfo was awarded Martindale-Hubbell's highest AV-rating as a litigator, was named to Outstanding Lawyers of America Society, and year after year has been selected by his peers as a Southern California "Super Lawyer" in Los Angeles Magazine.

Mr. Calfo has contributed numerous professional articles including: "The Case for Protecting Japanese Corporate Defendants from Having to Appear in California for Deposition," published in the Journal of International Legal Strategy. He co-authored the article, "Avoid the Problems of All-Cash Negotiations—Effective Negotiation through Structured Settlements," featured in the Defense Research Institute's National Magazine, For the Defense, published for insurance and corporate counsel in December 2005. Mr. Calfo also wrote the Advanced Civil Discovery in California manual and conducted the seminar entitled "Keys to Successful Pre-Trial Preparation in California," in November, 2004, both for IPE. He presented "How to Win a Products Liability Case in the United States" for the Center of International Legal Studies in Montreal, Canada, and in 2009 was a presenter at the International Law Conference for CILS in Egypt on “American Trial Practice.” In 2010 Mr. Calfo presented "What Constitutes a Legal Agreement or Notification" for the West Coast Product Safety and Liability Conference for Manufacturers by Leading Experts & Attorneys. He was also a featured speaker on, "Manufacturers' Decisions Whether to Recall: Practical, Business and Legal Considerations" at the Third Annual Product Safety & Liability Conference in Washington D.C. for CPSC and NHTSA officials. A 1990 graduate of Creighton University School of Law where he earned a J.D. and served on the International Moot Court Board, Mr. Calfo joined James Yukevich in 1996 following a successful stint at the Minneapolis-based firm, Bowman and Brooke, handling the defense of product liability cases.

Mr. Calfo received his B.A. from Marquette University in 1986 after spending one year at the prestigious Loyola University Rome Center of Liberal Arts where he was an honor student.
