Joo O. Cha graduated magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor's degree with a major in Political Science and a minor in Public Policy. While at UCLA, Ms. Cha served as a volunteer tutor for inner-city schools and participated in student-led programs providing volunteer services and relief efforts to Ground Zero.
Ms. Cha received her Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. During law school, Ms. Cha was involved with the Boston College Legal Assistance Bureau, serving indigent clients in areas of family law, housing, and Social Security disability matters. Ms. Cha also worked in-house at an international media company based in South Korea, focusing on intellectual property and employment matters. Ms. Cha is fluent in Korean. While at law school, Ms. Cha held leadership positions with the Student Bar Association and Asian Pacific American Legal Association. Ms. Cha currently serves as the co-president of the BC Law Southern California Alumni Association.
Ms. Cha practices in the area of products liability defense and complex commercial litigation. Ms. Cha is licensed to practice law in all California State courts.
