Sandra M. Ko earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA in 1999. She also spent one year studying at the Complutense University in Madrid, Spain.
Ms. Ko received her Juris Doctorate from American University Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. in 2004. While in law school, Ms. Ko served as a Dean's Fellow in the legal research and writing department. She was the Editor-In-Chief of the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy & the Law, in which the comment she authored, “Why Do They Continue To Get the Worst of Both Worlds? The Case for Providing Louisiana's Juveniles With the Right to a Jury in Delinquency Adjudications,” was published. 12 Am. U. J. Gender, Soc. Pol'y & L. 161 (2004). Ms. Ko interned with the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia and volunteered at the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center in Washington, D.C. while in law school.Ms. Ko practices in the areas of complex civil litigation and products liability defense. She is admitted to practice in California, New York, Virginia, and District of Columbia.
