David is a 2002 cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School. While in law school, David was a staff member and associate articles editor of the Minnesota Law Review from 2000 to 2002. David was law clerk to Judge Bruce D. Willis of the Minnesota Court of Appeals from 2002 to 2003. David is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in both California and Minnesota.
From 2003 to 2011, David was an associate with a boutique trial litigation firm in Minneapolis where he practiced in the areas of appeals, trustee and fiduciary defense litigation, legal malpractice defense, products liability, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Fair Credit Reporting Act defense litigation. David was also appointed for three years as an Adjunct Professor of Legal Writing at William Mitchell College of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. A native of Southern California, David returned to Los Angeles and joined Yukevich | Cavanaugh in September 2011.
David has been recognized numerous times as a “Rising Star” by the Super Lawyers organization both in Minnesota and California. Most recently, while with Yukevich | Cavanaugh, David has been named a “Rising Star” in the Southern California area for both 2012 and 2013.
