Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Caligiuri received a prestigious Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellowship with the California State Assembly. As an Unruh Fellow, he staffed the Assembly Labor and Employment Committee, and drafted legislation to reform state pension benefits and promote low-emission fleet vehicles. Mr. Caligiuri continued to work in the State Assembly after his Unruh Fellowship, staffing the Budget Subcommittee on Education Finance, and drafting measures to improve school nutrition and expand career technical education.
Mr. Caligiuri received his JD from UCLA School of Law, where he served as executive articles editor of the Journal of Law & Technology, volunteered as a certified mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court, and participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial.
Before joining Yukevich | Cavanaugh, Mr. Caligiuri worked in the Complex and Special Litigation Unit of the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, where he litigated multi-million dollar lawsuits alleging unfair competition, civil conspiracy and healthcare fraud.
Mr. Caligiuri is admitted to practice law in California and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
