While in college, Ms. Ball studied abroad in London, England at the Institute of European Studies. During her time in London, she worked as an Assistant to a Member of the British Parliament. Ms. Ball also interned with the Office of the Public Defender in Santa Clara County.
In 2003, Ms. Ball earned her Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law. She served as Comments Editor on the Santa Clara Law Review, and she authored the comment, “The New Traditional Employment Relationship: An Examination of Proposed Legal Reforms for Contingent Workers from the Perspectives of Involuntary Impermanent Workers and Those Who Employ Them,” 43 SANTA CLARA L. REV. 901 (2003).
Ms. Ball primarily focuses her practice in products liability litigation defense and general negligence, defending domestic and international tire, heavy equipment, automobile, and sporting goods manufacturers. Additionally, Ms. Ball has extensive experience defending automobile manufacturers in asbestos litigation. She also has defended various clients in construction litigation. Ms. Ball is involved in all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing discovery and dispositive motions, and trial.
In 2012 and 2013, Ms. Ball was recognized as a “Rising Star,” one of the best attorneys under 40 in Southern California. She was also recognized among Southern California’s “Top Women Attorneys” in 2012 and 2013, as published in Los Angeles Magazine. She is also a member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI).
Ms. Ball is also involved with and supports the Boys & Girls Club of Venice.
