In 2011 Ms. Barquet received her Juris Doctorate from Cornell Law School, where she graduated with a double specialization in Business Law and International Legal Affairs. While in law school, she interned for the Honorable Gustavo A. Gelpi of the Federal District Court of Puerto Rico, where she conducted extensive research and drafted court orders on a number of law and motion matters including summary judgment motions on various issues. Ms. Barquet was also involved in Cornell’s Land Use and Water Law Clinics where she researched and advocated legal issues surrounding natural gas pipelines. She is the co-author of a guide entitled “NY Gas Pipelines: Questions and Answers” which is part of a large-scale ongoing research project by Cornell Law School.
Before joining Yukevich | Cavanaugh in 2013, Ms. Barquet was an associate at Trope and Trope where she practiced complex family law litigation representing high net worth clients. Ms. Barquet currently practices in the areas of family law, products liability defense, general negligence defense, and complex civil litigation. She is admitted to practice law in California, Florida and New York. She is fluent in Spanish.
