Prior to entering the legal profession, Mr. Yans earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Irvine, and worked in the rubber seals and semiconductor manufacturing industries. He later attended Santa Clara University School of Law, where he concentrated his studies in Intellectual Property Law and externed for a patent brokerage firm.
Mr. Yans joined Yukevich | Cavanaugh in 2026 with a wide range experience in insurance defense and civil litigation matters, including products liability, premises liability, habitability, motor vehicle liability, and personal liability, and medical malpractice defense.
His engineering and manufacturing background provides him with a practical. technical perspective when evaluating complex liability and causation issues.
Outside of his practice, Mr. Yans enjoys weightlifting, reading, cars, and motorcycles.
