Ms. Burton graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Arts in French following several years of international study at l’Université de Paris – Sorbonne. She earned her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Academic Scholar, Note and Comment Editor of the Journal for Business, Entrepreneurship, and the Law, Moot Court Problem Author for the Armand Arabian Advocacy Tournament, Harnish Research Fellow, and Geoffrey H. Palmer Center Fellow.

While earning her law degree, Ms. Burton clerked for the Hardcore Gang Division of the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, assisting in the prosecution of violent gang members.

Prior to joining Yukevich Cavanaugh, Ms. Burton gained litigation and trial experience representing Fortune 500 companies in premises liability, products liability, and general negligence cases. She also has extensive experience in the areas of construction litigation, toxic tort, and business litigation.

Ms. Burton is admitted to practice law in the state courts of California and the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Eastern Districts of California. She is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. She is fluent in French.
