Austin Son Elig is an associate in the San Diego office. He defends cases in the fields of asbestos litigation and other toxic torts, product liability claims, and personal injury. Mr. Elig has handled numerous cases from inception to resolution as the sole associate. His skills include drafting motions, handling discovery, and working with the partner and opposing counsel to achieve settlements and dismissals.
Mr. Elig is a San Diego native who graduated from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD with a major in history. Mr. Elig then earned his J.D. from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, OR. During law school, Mr. Elig served as a clerk at the California Courts of Appeal (2nd District) in Los Angeles, CA, assisting Justice Thomas L. Willhite in researching and drafting judicial opinions.
Following graduation, Mr. Elig worked as an associate attorney for a large law firm in San Diego, CA defending cases in the areas of toxic torts, product liability claims, and personal injury – including maritime personal injury claims.
