Ms. Hight has experience handling a range of complex civil matters in both state and federal courts from inception through the appeals process, including trials and arbitrations, in courts all over the country.
She has successfully represented clients in a variety of contract disputes, professional negligence claims, mass tort litigation, trademark, terrorism judgment collection, tortious interference claims, and employment discrimination.
Her transactional experience includes serving as outside general counsel for small to midsize business concerns; advising businesses on compliance with California employee training; and consulting on brownfields redevelopment projects. Ms. Hight has also handled estate and business succession planning for individuals and closely held businesses.
Prior to obtaining her law degree, Ms. Hight spent three years in a federal government affairs practice, where she assisted clients with strategic planning and legislative advocacy before the United States Congress and various administrative agencies.
Ms. Hight's other experience includes communications and policy research on metropolitan issues at The Brookings Institution and work on national political campaigns.
Ms. Hight holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication and Political Science from the University of Missouri. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law.
Ms. Hight is admitted to practice in California and Hawaii, the United States District Courts for the Central District of California and the District of Hawaii, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
