In a new video from the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, CEO Michael Flood celebrates Founding Partner James (Jim) Yukevich for playing a key role in helping the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank raise over $850,000 in the past 12 months. Jim, a long-time advocate and supporter of Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, mobilized his family, friends, and colleagues to support the non-profit with its mission of eradicating hunger in Los Angeles.

Over the past year, Jim’s efforts to combat food insecurity in Los Angeles have been highly regarded, winning him various honors, including being named on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Leaders of Influence: Nonprofit & Philanthropy" list, on its “LA500: Most Influential People in LA” list, and winning the highly coveted recognition of “Philanthropist of the Year.” Jim’s dedication to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank stems from the values his father instilled in him as a young boy: "You have to take care of your family, but you also have to take care of your fellow man.”

At a time when many LA residents have been forced to evacuate due to fires, the money raised will help to ensure that families do not have to worry about where their next meal will come from. The funds raised by Jim and his community have provided 3.4 million meals to over 900,000 people in vulnerable areas and communities across Los Angeles. Jim invites anyone who would like to support the work of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank to donate using the link below.
